Project Background

Glades Cut Off Road is a two lane (one lane in each direction) minor arterial roadway within the study limits. St. Lucie County has identified the need to widen (increase capacity) this portion of Glades Cut Off Road to enhance safety, increase multimodal options, and accommodate the forecasted traffic volumes generated from the anticipated growth in St. Lucie County for the year 2045.

The PD&E will evaluate widening and reconstructing the existing 10-mile segment of Glades Cut Off Road from Range Line Road to Selvitz Road. The improvements to this section of Glades Cut Off Road will be designed with the goal of utilizing the existing right-of-way where feasible.

The No-Build (No Action) alternative is also being analyzed and compared against the Build Alternatives.
